How do I install a Pre-Calibrated Alcohol Sensor Module?

Take the following steps to install a new sensor module


Prepare your AlcoMate Prestige.	Use a flat, sharp tool to carefully open the top cover.	Lift the breath tube to access the sensor module.


Remove the breath tube. It should remove easily	Carefully raise the sensor module from the body. Do NOT detach the cable from the body.	Remove the cable from the slot underneath the sensor module.


Prepare a new pre-calibrated sensor module	Insert the cable into the new sensor. Make sure the blue strip is toward the sensor, as shown.	Replace the sensor module into its original position.
		Ready for Testing!

Re-attach the breath tube directly on to the sensor. Make sure the front opening is aligned.	Re-attach the cover on to the top of the body. It should snap in fairly easily.

So I've had this breathalyzer now for a month, and finally got around to reviewing it. Package came quickly especially since I'm in Alaska.

So I opened the package, tore open the batteries and popped them in. Grabbed one of the mouthpieces and fit it in. it was a little tight, but better to be snug than loose.

I"ve used the breathalyzer maybe 10 times so far since getting it. it's a breeze to use once you read the instructions. the results seems pretty accurate, and when i would perform a double test about a minute later, the breathalyzer read the same results. The hard carrying case is nice, and a great place to store the mouthpieces.

I like that this device has the replaceable sensor. when i get around to do it, it looks fairly simple to do.

overall, I'd recommend this device to a friend. it's a decent price, especially considering the next model up is almost $50 more expensive. I guess you get what you pay for, but in this case, $119 went a long way. (Posted on 4/9/10)

Bought this after looking around on the internet. Got it with 50 mouthpieces for 119 which seems to be the lowest they get. Pacakage arrived quickly and securely.

The device comes with 2 AA batteries which is nice and was pretty easy to figure out. MAKE sure you read the manual before giving it a go. The first time we tested it we got a really high number. We didn't wait long enough before testing. I called and a sales rep explained that is how all breathalyzers work and that I was blowing alcohol that was still in my mouth. After that all our tests seem pretty in line with what we feel, though my wife was surprised at how quickly she went over the legal limit.

For the money, this seems like the best deal out there. Especially since I won't have to pay for expensive calibrations and shipping costs. Be safe. (Posted on 3/7/10)
