The AlcoMate Plus AL5000 Breathalyzer is a U.S. DOT approved precision alcohol detector which employs an advanced integrated *MEMS microchip gas sensor. The AlcoMate Plus measures your blood alcohol content within a range of 0.00% to 0.40% BAC, in .01% steps increments. AL5000 plus delivers .01% or 10% accuracy at 0.10% BAC. The AlcoMate Plus is equipped with a user replaceable pre calibrated sensor module that eliminates the need for sending your device to AlcoMeters labs for routine calibration. This is a must have feature for breathalyzers on board of vessels as required by the US Coast Guard. The Al5000 Plus guarantees device readiness and compliance for coast guard requirements. Easy and convenient to use, the AL5000 is recommended for both personal and professional screening. It includes five specially designed mouthpieces ensuring sanitary use of the device. One of the main problems with using breathalyzers in critical applications is that the alcohol sensor, no matter what type, requires periodic re-calibration. Unfortunately, the re-calibration process requires that the breathalyzer be physically mailed or taken to a professional service center, at which point the device must be evaluated and proper steps must be taken for calibration with an expensive simulator system. The process is costly for both consumer and service center, and the delay in processing and shipping back-and-forth can be quite a loss. The Pre-Calibrated Replaceable Sensor Module eliminates delays and complications of re-calibration by enabling you to simply "snap out" an old module and "snap in" a new one. This way, you can get back to a reliable and accurate testing in a matter of minutes!
